WHO NEEDS SANTA?

BAKER C. I. WORK CAMP

santa (2)What a fantastic treat for all the children who were visiting their dads on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at the Baker C. I.  Work Camp.  The officers at this re-entry facility laid out the red carpet for the kids.  The room was decorated with Christmas lights and a warm holiday living room scene served as a backdrop for picture taking.  Each child was given soda and a cupcake with a Rudolph ring nestled in the thick frosting.    And to top it all off, dad was allowed to select a gift for their child(ren) and the room lit up with happy faces and bright smiles as the children opened and played with their new toys. It was truly a wonderful act of kindness made on behalf of families that are soon to be reunited.

Four special officers made this a successful event –  Officer M. Thomas, Sgt. P. Johnson, Lt. Debra Moore and Officer Jerry Baugh.  Each of them played a significant role in tightening the bond between fathers and their children.  It was this wonderful display of good will, financial sacrifice, planning and coordinating which filled that visit park with so much joy that no one even missed Santa.

KUDOS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO THOSE SPECIAL OFFICERS AT BAKER WORK CAMP!
